Countess Chocula ("Carmilla" web series/movie spanking fanfiction)

- It's not my fault you're so damn weak! –the eleven-year-old girl angrily spat out in the heat of the moment before running off to her room.-

Tension could be cut with a knife, and for a split second it was as if all life was sucked out of Laura's eyes. Everything became cold and dark, time seemed to stop. She was frozen in place, clueless as to what to say or do in such an unexpected situation.

She closed her eyes and took the deepest breath she had taken since her daughter's birth, mentally counting to one thousand and back.

Danielle slammed her bedroom door shut, slowly noticing something was not right. Her mommy was not the silent kind of person. Even if she was "only" human, she was fearless, a tireless fighter, and she never stopped talking when a situation demanded to be confronted. She was not afraid to speak when an injustice was being committed. Had she heard her?

Of course she had, she was just regaining composure of herself, holding it together to avoid strangling her only child as soon as she was done processing what her human ears had just heard.
Shortly after, footsteps could be heard coming up the corridor, which made her lock the door from the inside in a panic outburst.
In such an antique house, spare keys were not frequently used, so there was no way in or out of the room unless the preteen unlocked the door...or unless Carmilla came home to find the two loves of her life arguing and decided to go inside through the window or just kick the door open, which she was obviously NOT going to do, since she didn't want to cause her baby bat girl a heart attack at such a young age.

- Danny, please, open the door. We need to talk.

- Nope, we don't –she deadpanned, still scared. What the heck was she thinking, speaking like that to the woman that had literally given her life?! She just didn't know how to properly react after saying something that awful, but she was sure of one thing: her mother was going to kill her. So nope, she preferred to remain locked inside, even if that meant starving to death...ok, so maybe the girl was a bit dramatic. A chip of the old block.-

- Just open the door –Laura lightly knocked, waiting for her order to be obeyed-. Please.

- No, go away! –her voice was beginning to sound altered.-

- Honey, please calm down. We are just going to talk, this is not how you normally speak to me and I can tell there's something wr-

- Wrong? With me?! –so yep, thing were escalating kinda quickly.-

- No, Danielle, that is not even close to what I meant to say. Please, let's calm down and talk things through...

- No! And I'm not taking it back –the girl yelled and ran from the door to her bed, burying her face on her giant bat-shaped pillow-. Go away.

Laura heavily sighed. Things were not turning out right even when she was trying to be reasonable. Her daughter was going through puberty, and, as per usual, the more she tried to get close to her kid, the more she would want to run away. If only Danny knew her moms were young once too...they screwed things up, they back talked to other people and sometimes regretted it, they made mistakes.

Yes, but they weren't procreated by a vampire and a human, right? And they didn't precisely attend to a school full of teenage monsters...literally. Sheesh.

Forcing an apology out of her daughter was not the answer, so Laura went back to the living room to do some cleaning. After a couple hours she made a sandwich for herself and it came just natural to make another one for her daughter, which she lovingly deposited on a tray and placed it on the table next to her child's room. She knew she'd be listening (vampire hearing, duh), so there was no use in speaking out to let her know there was food outside her bedroom. She just left it there with an "I love you" note and went back to the couch to do some much-needed, relaxing reading. Harry Potter, of course. For the millionth time.

Time went by and she fell asleep with the book on her chest, not even being aware of the moment in which the half-vampire opened the door and took the food tray inside her room.

At nightfall, the roaring sound of a motorcycle engine announced Carmilla's arrival. She smiled as she dismounted the vehicle and took off her helmet. Every single day, after she finished teaching philosophy at Darewood High, she counted the minutes left to finally arrive home and be greeted by her mini-me, her little girl, as soon as she set foot inside the house, and then be dragged into a passionate kiss by her wife.
That day had been beyond exhausting. She dragged her feet and made her entrance, surprised not to find Danielle already waiting for her, but moved as she laid eyes on Laura, who was slowly waking up from a peaceful slumber, as it seemed. She made her way through the living room and sat beside her wife, enveloping her in a warm hug as their lips met in a deep kiss.

- Morning, Sleeping Beauty –she greeted in her usual raspy voice.-

- Mmmmh, morning... well, night? –she corrected herself as she looked out of the window to discover it was dark-. Holy crabsticks, Carm, you stayed at school grading exams again?

- You never cease to amaze me with your Sherlock Holmes skills, Hollis –she playfully rolled her eyes.-

- Doesn't matter, you're here now, babe –Laura waved the topic off embracing the raven-hair woman.-

- Finally, yes. But someone's missing...is Danny asleep again?

- I...don't know. As much as I would like to blame this on your weird vampire schedules being quite present in our daughter's genetic information, that's not what happened. Today we...well, it was an intense evening –Laura lowered her gaze, avoiding eye contact for a second, as she often did when she didn't want Carmilla to notice tears threatening to come out of her eyes.-

Carmilla's brow furrowed in worry as she gently took hold of Laura's chin between two pale, delicate fingers.

- You argued?

Laura's golden eyes shyly met hers as she slowly nodded.

- I think...yes.

Unbeknownst to them both, said girl was listening, ear practically glued to the door, and she was not-so-secretly dying to come out and say hello to her mama. But today she was feeling too darn proud to come out as if nothing had happened and greet her in front of her other mom, so she stayed inside and waited. Since when did "2 minutes" fit in the definition of "utter agony"?

She sat on the floor, knees to her chest, and leaned her head forward to rest it on top of her hands, meditating.

Not even five minutes later, interrupting her thoughts, two pairs of shoes could be heard a few feet away from her door, startling her.

- Creampuff? –Carmilla's voice called as they approached-. Are you awake?

- Y-Yes –the girl confirmed, hesitating, sensing they were BOTH outside. She wanted to say hello to her mama but it was sooo not cool that her mommy was there too. She didn't feel like opening the door, but at the same time, she did. DANG IT, PUBERTY!-

- I've got something for you –Carm stated in a tone she knew their daughter couldn't reject-. It has 547 pages and it has your name on it.

Alright, SCREW IT! Her mama knew she couldn't resist a new book, especially when she had been waiting for it to come out for TWO MONTHS! She NEEDED to know what happened after book 5 of "The good witch Luzura", the saga she was currently reading; this was a matter of life and death, so...

- MAMAAAAAAAAA!! –she abruptly unlocked and opened the door, jumping into Carmilla's arms to be wrapped in the world's tightest hug, witnessed by Laura, who was internally melting at the sight, as she always did when it came to those two specific vampires. They drove her crazy, yes, but they also gave her life its fundamental meaning.-

- Heeey, love bug –the vampire smiled-. Missed you too, Danny girl.

- Missed you more –the girl confidently stated as she pulled back just a few inches from her mom's face to look at her-. Sooo...you got the book? –she asked, with a hopeful smile-

- Yes, sweetie, but... -her mother emphasized the third word-, you got five minutes?

The little girl was caught off guard and, sensing what that might be about, alternated her sight between her two moms. Laura was "casually" leaning against the wall, arms crossed in front of her chest, with a neutral, subtle smile gracing her features. She didn't seem "mad" per se, but one could never know.

- Depends...who's asking?

- Who's asking? What are you, a mafia leader? –Carmilla couldn't help but laugh at her daughter's cleverness-. I'm asking. And I'm not taking "no" for an answer –she lightly kissed Danielle's forehead and was joined by her wife, who took her hand as they entered their baby's room, Carmilla still carrying her in one arm.-

Both adults took a seat on one side of the bed and the vampire carefully placed their daughter on her lap, facing the side where her mommy was sitting.

- So...wanna tell us what this is all about, darling?

- What? –she "innocently" asked.-

Carmilla softly sighed, wrapping an arm around Danny's back.

- You know? Your mommy and I were also young once –Carmilla started to say, watching her daughter lightly roll her eyes-, believe it or not.

- Yeah, yeah...the "golden years" and all that stuff.

- Yes, the golden era, but that's not what I was talking about. Can you imagine us when we were about your age?

The girl remained silent for a few instants, thoughtful, trying to picture a clear image of her parents. Ironically, she was able to imagine Laura waaay faster than Carmilla.

- But...aren't you like a gazzzzzillion years old?

- Not so much –Carmilla chuckled-, only a few hundreds. The point is...puberty hits us all, eventually.

- Mooooom! –the girl groaned, burying her face in the older vampire's shoulder.-

Laura struggled to hide a tiny smirk.

- I know, I know..."I'm embarrassing you". But there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of when you're with us, Danny –Carmilla gently said, hugging their child to reassure her she was safe between their arms, message that was instantly reinforced by Laura wrapping her own arms around Carmilla's shoulders-. We know it's not easy, and we are certainly not trying to diminish your feelings or sensations, creampuff, it's a long and laborious process and it does not take place in the same way with everybody. But it's a tiny bit easier when you know you are not alone. I'm not saying we fully understand, but we've been through something similar, and we are here for you in the way we wish someone had been for us in that moment of our lives.

At those last words, the pre-teenager shyly looked up, just to find both of her moms knowingly looking at her. Deep, dark eyes beside a pair of beautiful golden orbs.

- Really? –she asked, voice lightly trembling, somehow amazed by the "dumbness" of her own question.-

- Of course –now it was Laura who spoke, holding the girl's hand in a calming, maternal gesture.-

The girl looked down and pulled her hand back after a few seconds, but it was enough time for Laura to notice there was something else triggering her child's sudden move, something other than simple "pride": guilt.

- I...I didn't mean to say it –Danny softly said.-

- Say what, baby? –the human inquired.-

- That you are weak...it's just. Ugghhh –the girl sat up straight in a little frustration fit and started talking a bit more energetically than before, clearly having an internal battle to find the correct words-. Everybody in my stupid school has monster parents. Like, both of them. But there is no one like me, not a single soul. No one else has a human parent and...I lied –she finally confessed, lowering her head in defeat-. I told my class both of my parents were vampires so I would fit in, but Britney found out mommy was human and she told everybody, so now half of the school doesn't want to be friends with me because I'm only half-vampire. Half breed..."half-cool", "half-dumb". Because I'm half-mortal –she explained, verbally quoting her worst enemy, the school's most popular zombie-girl, avoiding eye contact with her human mother, who she didn't directly want to blame but internally felt was responsible for her apparent "fragile" condition, since she was not as strong as other monster-kids her age-. And now Eldritch might never invite me to his birthday parties –she quickly added, lowering her volume, leaning back into her mama's embrace as if she was a deflating balloon.-

So that was it. Love. Teenage drama, yes; school stuff, as well...but, underneath all that junk: love.

Laura didn't need superpowers to hear those last, mumbled words, especially because there was a pout on her daughter's face when she finished her "rant". An adorable pout that always had the same effect on both women: cuteness overload, if such thing existed, and "mama bear" mode fully on.

The human leaned forward to kiss her baby's head, not caring whether Danielle's pride would interfere in their dialogue again or not.

- You know what?

- Hmm? –the child looked up at her mommy, slightly afraid she might still be upset because of their little argument earlier in the evening.-

- People who don't accept you for who you are, don't deserve you or your time. Good thing is school started only a few weeks ago, Danny, there's still plenty of time for you to meet other kids in your school –Laura encouraged, trying to cheer her up, supported by Carmilla's proud smile-. And these situations only let you know who you can count on and who you can't.

The little girl tilted her head like a curious puppy.

- You are interesting. You are unique and you are amazing –the human continued in that motivational tone that came so natural to her-, don't let this demoralize you. And I'm not saying it because I'm your mother, I'm saying it because it's the truth, and I trust you will find kids who are also loyal to themselves. Those are true friends, and you will find them, because you deserve them, sweetheart.

The kid couldn't help but smile, slightly blushing.

- Your mother's right –Carmilla seconded, giving her wife a complicity look-. Took me a decade to admit it, but she's always right.

Now it was Laura who rolled her eyes.

- "Time is our most valuable privilege" –the vampire quoted from a book she knew her daughter had read before.-

- "...yet it cannot be possessed, nor stopped, only managed" –the girl completed the phrase, earning a nod of approval from both of her parents.-

- Time might seem endless for some of us, but some chances only come once in a lifetime, love. Choose wisely how to use your time or who to share it with, kiddo. Don't waste a second of your time in unimportant matters.

- In other words: "Don't wait for the train to arrive. You are the train. You choose the travel destination and schedule, and those who want to share the journey with you are welcome, but those who don't can stay at the station." –Laura ventured in her own "philosophical" style, making the kid smile.-

- So...I will find kids like me just being myself –the half-vampire- concluded, feeling noticeably better than a few minutes earlier.-

- Exactly –both parents agreed, proud of how intellectually mature their daughter was, despite her age and occasional mood swings.-

- I'm sorry... -she suddenly admitted-. I shouldn't have said that –now she was looking directly into Laura's eyes, her emerald orbs being threatened by an upcoming storm of tears.-

Laura sighed, feeling things were finally starting to fall in place again. Communication was all they needed.

Both parents briefly looked at each other, then, Carmilla maneuvered the small body on her lap in order to carefully place her on Laura's.

Danny kept her sight low, until her mommy cupped her cheek in one soft hand and slowly made her look up so their gazes would meet.

- I am not mad at you, sweetheart –Laura started-. I could never.

- You're not?

- No, Dannielle. Being mad at a specific situation or at the lack of harmony momentarily surrounding us does not mean I feel anger towards you. You are not your words, nor your actions. You are our child, and we decided to bring you into this world under no established conditions whatsoever. You are you, and that means you deserve to be loved and supported by us, no matter what. You understand that, don't you?

The little girl looked at her mama before returning her attention to her mommy and slowly nodded.

- And you know that forgiveness comes with unconditional love, correct?

- Yes... -the girl agreed, sensing where the conversation was going, and sighed-. But I'm in trouble anyway...right?

Going straight to the point. That was their daughter. Even being supernaturally gifted and incredibly clever, she knew there was only one way out of this. And that was "through" it. She looked into her human mother's eyes with her puppy dog eyes, letting Laura know just how much she regretted having spoken to her the way she did before.

- You know there are rules in this house, Danny. And they exist to keep us all safe, together, and happy. Emotionally, mentally and physically...hippy stuff aside –she added with a quick half smile to lighten the atmosphere-. You understand it is not right to break the rules and speak to me the way you did, because it is not necessary and there are other acceptable ways to communicate your discomfort without being disrespectful or hurtful.

- Yes... -the girl silently agreed, fighting against a lump forming in her throat, being fully aware of her mother's words being more a statement than a question. Knowing she had a punishment coming her way didn't make accepting it any easier.-

- Come here... -Laura lovingly hugged the preteen, making sure to lay all the cards on the table before continuing.-

Witnessing the touching gesture, Carmilla remained in place, being a moral and emotional support for both her wife and daughter.

After a few instants, Laura slowly disentangled the hug and looked into her baby girl's green eyes, wiping a tear from her delicate skin with her thumb.

- Let's get this over with, my love –she stated, helping her daughter stand up in front of her-. The sooner we start, the sooner it will end.

Danielle let her mom guide her movements and braced herself for what she knew was in store for her. She understood how unacceptable her behavior had been and just wanted to face the consequences and let all that tension slide into the past. She took a deep breath and, with an understanding look from her mom, leaned forward to be positioned over Laura's knee, with the upper part of her body resting on Carmilla's lap. The vampire took advantage of that short preface to kiss her daughter on top of her head to let her know how proud she was of seeing her take responsibility over her words and actions, and placed a hand on Danny's upper back as a soothing gesture and to make sure the half-vampire knew her mama would be there with her throughout the entire "redemption" process.

Before starting, Laura placed her left hand on Danny's lumbar region to hold her in place and briefly glanced at her wife. Administering a punishment was not easy, even though she knew her daughter deserved it and could have avoided it by just following a few simple rules, but she was thankful her wife was supportive and decided to stay there for both of them even when she was not directly involved in the argument. Certainly, the vampire did not approve of her daughter's actions while she was absent, but that wouldn't keep her from being present before, during, and after the punishment. She knew she was essential, both as a mother and a wife. They were family, and that meant they vowed to stay together for the better and the worst. Always. No matter what.

And just then, when everything was silent enough to hear a pin drop, Laura began delivering firm, paused spankings with her bare hand to the center of her kid's bottom, which was "fortunately" covered by some casual clothes: underwear and black jeans. Not that it protected her much, she still felt every smack as if no clothing filtered the pain, but wearing something was better than wearing nothing, right?

As soon as she received the first impact, Danny couldn't help but shut her eyes tightly and contract her facial muscles, anticipating each slap, since she already knew what it would feel like.

SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...

Worst thing about such agony? No "embarrassment" could be spared, being spanked like a naughty little kid just when she was starting to experience what it was like to "become a woman" didn't exactly meet the expectations she had developed while listening to Cindy Lauper's "Girls just wanna have fun"...and the thing about the timing, of course. Laura being intentionally slow while administering a punishment made the girl discard any possibilities of walking out of the scene in just a few minutes. Such situations often took more than "a while". Shoot.

SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...

One after the other, each spank allowed the girl to gain more clarity about why she was there. "We do not attack or hurt our own family in any way, it is unacceptable and unnecessary", her mother had said one of the first times she had spanked her, years ago, when a bad word had slipped out of her lips. Being a born half-vampire, at the beginning, Danny was naturally bound to occasionally act a tiny bit cold, unapologetic and remorseless, or at least so it seemed. But, hey, kids are no saints. They know no other way of expressing themselves than with the truth and nothing else, and sometimes that can be taken as a mere act of "cruelty". Fortunately, through the years, she had learned to interact with different living creatures and she knew others could be just as sensitive and smart as she was; thus, she became the kind, sweet, compassionate little girl she now was. With occasional rage outbursts and silly tantrums, as any other growing child, but she was much more conscious than other kids her age, so it wasn't all lost. She was growing up to be a strong, capable, half-human being, and a beautiful, intelligent, self-sufficient woman who didn't need to dim other people's lights in order to shine. She was growing up to reflect the best of herself and share her best qualities with the world...and her parents were making sure of that, no doubt.

- Ouch! –she complained, even though she was doing her best not to-. I'm sorry!

- I know –was all Laura had to say, without interrupting her actions, since the reasons of the corrective had already been exposed.-

SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...

- B-But...grrr OUCH! –the little girl began squirming in her uncomfortable position after a few more smacks.-

SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...SLAP...

- Mphhh...mommyyyyy, please! It hurts!

- I know, Danny. And so do your words when you are not careful –Laura simply stated and carried on, much to her child's dismay.-

- Ow, I get it! I said I'm sorry... -the preteen tried apologizing once more with no success, now struggling to keep her feet steady, kicking them every now and then.-

- I heard you, sweetheart. Now try to be still –was all the human responded.-

Whaaat?! She knew Danny was sorry, she knew it hurt...and still wasn't going to stop?

Yep. Exactly that. Laura Hollis was no angel in her teen years, but she was always defending what was right, avoiding damaging other people at all costs. She had seldom been spanked as a kid, but she still felt terrible whenever she accidentally or intentionally made poor choices and ended up hurting her dad, because she could witness first-hand just how hard it could be to raise a child on your own. That's why she was so damn thankful she'd found Carmilla, a reliable, unconditional soul mate who she could blindly trust with her life and who NEVER let her down or made her doubt she would be there whenever she needed or wanted her. She wanted Danny to grow in a safe and healthy environment, and that didn't only include tons of love and cuddles, but some indispensable rules and boundaries, as well.

Without making any kind of previous announcement, the golden-eyed human proceeded to lower her daughter's jeans, which the kid obviously tried to avoid by grabbing her jeans' waistband with her own hand. Laura froze for a split second, hoping her kid would reconsider her risky action.

- Danny... -she said in a neutral, yet serious tone-. Move. That. Hand.

Nothing. Just a pout and a stubborn huff from the soon-to-become teenager.

- Danielle. Now.

Carmilla wished she could get into her child's mind and convince her to make a wiser choice by removing her hand and just accepting her undeniable fate, but remained silent instead, never ceasing to be amazed by how calm Laura acted even under stressful or unpleasant circumstances. She was not the one in charge in that precise moment, so she just took a deep breath and rubbed a few circles on her daughter's back, encouraging her. Everything would be over sooner than the kid thought. Early on, when they decided to have kids, both Laura and Carmilla agreed on never diminishing each other's authority in front of their children, and they made a promise to step in only in case they felt their partner was being outrageously harsh or unfair in their offspring's education, which had never happened so far. But, for now, Carmilla's job was to be there, supporting the whole process, which was no walk in the park either. She could only observe, as if the world became slower, just how much their daughter resembled them. Stubborn, even when she had the opportunity to right her wrongs...Danny did not move an inch. Her hand was still clasping her own waistband as if her life depended on it.

- Very well –Laura concluded, pitying the fact that her daughter had a chance not to make things worse for herself and still rejected it. With a sigh, she grabbed her daughter's wrist and pinned it to her back with her own hand-. I warned you.

Three simple words, but they still sounded like a death sentence and Danny immediately regretted not retracting her hand on time. Too late. Her mom quickly lowered her jeans and landed 10 fast, searing smacks directly to her tender sit spots, making her yelp in the process.

- Hey, MOMMY NOOOOOOO! PLEASE DON'T!! OUCH!!! –the girl vainly pleaded, now involuntarily kicking her feet in a way that seemed more childish than she would have ever admitted.-

SMACK...SMACK...SMACK...SMACK...SMACK...SMACK...SMACK...SMACK...

Laura alternated between sides, now aiming at the kid's buttocks, picking up not only a higher pace but an increase in strength as well. Seeing she had made up her mind with teaching their daughter a lesson, even Carmilla found it hard not to flinch with every impact, but being sorry for their baby girl wouldn't make things any easier on her.

- Please, please, please! MOMMY, PLEASE STOP!! I won't do it again, I PROMISE!!!

- Do what? –Laura inquired without ceasing her actions.-

- Put my hand in the way again! –the girl managed to say.-

- That's great news –she said while landing a particularly hard smack and let go of the kid's wrist, now placing her hand on her slim waist, to which Danny responded with an "ouch" and quickly reached forward with both hands, accidentally grabbing her mama's hand, wishing everything was over ASAP-. Now we can fully focus in your unacceptable language and behavior, young lady.

"I won't speak to you in a disrespectful tone ever again" is what she should have said but, of course, nobody can think straight while getting a sound, good, old-fashioned, over-the-knee spanking.

Struggling to catch her breath, Danny began to tense up, clenching her shoulders in the process as Laura increased the speed of the smacks.

"Slaps" and "ouches" could be heard filling the room, until a few minutes later, when the girl couldn't hold back her tears anymore. No more protesting or back talking, no more resistance left...only light sobs and total resignation. Then her mother's actions came to a pause, at least for an instant.

- Just ten more, Danny, we're almost done... -she encouraged, both her and Carmilla using that brief pause to take a deep breath themselves, entirely conscious about the fact that the last smacks were always the hardest, not the softest.-

*SLAPPP*

The first smack reverberated between the bedroom's thick, antique walls, almost making the poor girl shot her head back in pain, desperate to ease the stinging sensation of her pink-shaded sit spots being chastised.

*SLAPPP* *SLAPPP* *SLAPPP*

The young bat girl, as her immortal mother used to call her sometimes, was now freely sobbing, paying little attention to the wet stain growing under her beautiful face, on her mama's dark pant-suit, because of her non-stopping tears.

*SLAPPP* *SLAPPP* *SLAPPP* *SLAPPP*

Just when Danny wanted time to rush by, it seemed to be deliberately mocking her. But perhaps it wasn't all as bad as it seemed...at least her mommy was giving her time to recompose between spanks. She was so repented she even stopped counting; after the third of those last ten super-hard-smacks, she just let her head hang, crying and sniffing, and started furiously kicking her feet as the little girl she still was at the eyes of her parents. Fortunately for the half-blood young girl, this time Laura chose not to use a leg-lock to hold her daughter's squirmy legs in place.

- Just two more left to go –the human announced, waiting a few seconds to deliver the final pair of smacks.-

*SLLLAPPP* *SLLLAPPP*

- OOOUUUCH!!!!! –Danny couldn't hold back a loud wail and gave in, her small body completely limp, somehow glad everything was finally over-. OWIE...

- Breathe, baby... -Laura soothed, now lovingly rubbing circles into the teenager's back to help her calm down, action to which her wife joined shortly after-. It's over now, let it all out...

Who the heck were they kidding? Those cries were heart wrenching, to say the least, but discipline for rude behavior was not taken lightly in the Karnstein-Hollis household.

Eventually, the girl's breathing became even under her caring mothers' affectionate gestures. Carmilla leaned down to kiss her child's head and then kissed her wife's cheek, knowing how hard it could be sometimes to "assume the bad cop role".

The vampire carefully helped their daughter turn and sit across their laps, where she was tightly wrapped in a double hug, just as she was when she was a tiny little baby bat.

- All done...you are alright, creampuff –the pale woman reached the bedside table for a couple of tissues and dried up her kid's nose and tear tracks, then kissing both of her cheeks in a maternal gesture, making Danny softly smile-. You are in your mothers' arms now, nothing else matters.

- I-I'm sorry... -she hiccupped-. Really...

- Shhh. There, there... I know, my sweet child. It's all forgiven now –Laura whispered, stroking her daughter's hair and kissing her forehead-. Mommy loves you no matter what...and I am very proud of you, my dear.

The little girl shyly nodded, her breathing now deep and calm. She knew nowhere else would she be safer than where she was sitting in that precise moment.

- Such a brave little girl –Carmilla praised in pride, lightly tickling the preteen's sides, which made her softly smile and cuddle further into the group hug.-

For a while, they remained like that, an immortalized tableau of an atypical, yet lovely, family. The three of them immersed in a warm embrace, none of them wanting the moment to reach its eventual end.

Danny was slowly becoming sleepy, since she could listen to her mommy's heartbeat just beside her ear, her eyes battling to stay open. Never failed; since she was born, that was one of the sounds that calmed her the most.

Moved by the cute sight, Laura gently squeezed their child and repeatedly kissed the top of her head.

- So...anybody up for hot cocoa? –the human asked in a cheerful tone, knowing not even vampires were immune to some of the delicious temptations of the mortal realm.-

- Me! –Danny magically straightened up, eyes now wide open, although it was hard to dissimulate the soreness she felt on her bottom as she shifted positions.-

- Alright, but dinner goes first –Laura reminded and helped her hyperactive kid stand up and put her clothes back in place as delicately as she could.-

- Yeeouch... –she complained, quickly regaining composure with a tiny smirk as she put on her bat-claw-shaped slippers.-

Laura watched in amusement as she stood up, now relieved, followed by her wife, who got up and took a few seconds to stretch her back with a relaxing sigh, casually looking at the ceiling for a split second and...wait, was that a semi-eaten sandwich stuck in the arms of the chandelier?!

- Lauren Danielle Karnstein-Hollis.

The half-vampire froze from head to toe just before opening the bedroom door to go to the kitchen. She slowly swallowed, turned around, and smiled as innocently as she could.

- Yes, mama? –she asked, doing her best to hide the nervousness in her voice, which was, of course, an immediate effect of listening to either one of her mothers pronounce her full name.-

- Don't you "yes, mama" me, young lady. Come here –she said in her usual, unnervingly calm voice, summoning her child with a crooked index finger.-

It took the kid about two seconds to consider her (non-existent) options and cautiously walk up to where the vampire was standing, near her old oak desk.

- Would you mind explaining how a sandwich got up there? –she questioned, pointing to the chandelier, emphasizing the last word.-

- Oh, geez, for Sheridan's sake, is that a sandw-

- Don't even try –Carmilla interrupted.-

- I...

Laura crossed her arms in disapproval, still standing next to the bed.

- I'm sorry about that too... -Danny admitted, a bit ashamed, unconsciously playing with her hands out of pure nervousness-. I just...

Carmilla raised a single eyebrow, a clear warning for the girl to thoroughly consider speaking nothing but the truth.

- Mommy made me a sandwich earlier and I started eating it because, well, I was kinda starving...but after a few bites I got mad again because vampire's aren't supposed to "need" food, so I threw it away but I didn't aim at the chandelier, I promise!

The pale woman put both hands on her hips, as if asking "and...?"

- I was gonna try to get it down, but then I heard your motorcycle and I got distracted, and I...I just wanted to say "hi" –she finally stated, making it obvious the rest was history.-

- So, you're basically saying all you've eaten since you got back from school is half a sandwich? –Carmilla concluded.-

A nod.

The immortal sat on the chair next to the desk and patted her lap twice, to which the girl responded by obediently sitting where she was requested.

- You know you are half-vampire and half-human, sweetie, now tell me... -Carm started-. Do you think food is important for your growth and development?

The girl remained silent for a few seconds.

- I...guess so. Yes?

- That's right...fortunately, you were not bitten, you were born this way, which means you are going to grow as any other kid, what allows us to conclude your cells need some kind of nourishment. And I assume you do not plan on making blood the full base of your diet, do you?

- Nope...I only like drinking Aunt Perry and Aunt Laffie's blood substitute. I like the red fruits flavored one –the girl reasoned.-

- That's my favorite too –Carmilla softened her tone a little bit-. Anyway, and your mother won't let me lie about this, I ate plenty of other things even after being converted...

- You did? –Danny asked, surprised-. She did?! –now she turned to Laura to corroborate the information, to which the human couldn't help but smile and nod affirmatively, walking over to the pair.-

- If by "plenty of other things" you mean "MY Reese's, MY M&M's, MY chocolate chip cookies, MY cereal, MY gummy bears and gallons of chocolate milk", then yes...I recall your diet being quite peculiar –Laura smirked.-

- Don't forget it was you who stole MY tasty soy milk –Carm teased-. And some chocolate chip cookies weren't yours...oh, and you forgot to say "tons of chocolate ice cream".

- Wonderful example you are turning up to be for our mini Dracula here, my love. Who do you think she got the chocoholic genes from? –Laura rolled her eyes and stole a kiss from her wife's lips, making Danny giggle and look away pretending to be grossed out-. There, something else you can add to the list of things I've "stolen" from you...

- Both of us. Good thing is my heart is attached to the rest of my body, although it only beats for you –the vampire added in a cheesy voice just before returning her attention to the kid on her knee-. AHEM, as I was saying... It is important for you to eat, Danny. Even vampires need to eat something, not all of us are like those ridiculous "vampires" from modern movies. If I need to eat every now and then, so do you, kiddo. Try thinking you're eating not because "you have to", but because "you want to". Nobody knows your body better than you, you are unique and unrepeatable.

- But... -Danny tried to protest.-

- And having to eat does not make you weaker or less of a vampire, and I will bite off the head of whoever dares say the opposite. Understood? –she asked, her threat being obviously an empty one, looking into her daughter's beautiful green eyes, not with anger, but with love and genuine interest and concern for her wellbeing.-

- Yes, mama... -the girl sighed and conceded after a while, seeing there was no use in arguing with her mom on that specific topic-. You wouldn't bite off anybody's head, though –the girl grinned-, would you?

- You never know –Carmilla jokingly said.-

- I wouldn't push my luck if I were you, sweetheart –Laura added-. Once, we had to flee on Christmas Eve and found shelter in a not-so-abandoned cafeteria where an adorable German woman dressed as Santa Claus gave us some suspiciously delicious ginger cookies and your mama had to...never mind.

- ?! But mooooom, I wanna know the rest of the story!!! –the preteen complained-. Pleeeeeaaaaaase???

- If you behave, one day I might consider telling you all about it, creampuff...well, almost. I'm sure your mommy will thank me if I spare you all the unnecessarily gory details –Carmilla said, winking an eye at her beautiful wife, whose golden eyes sparkled in agreement.-

- Uhm...okay –the kid said, sensing there was something else telepathically going on between her moms and she was clearly missing it.-. I will...

- That's my girl –Carmilla proudly said.-

Danny couldn't help but smile.

- Anyway –her mama added, with a slightly more serious tone this time-, you and I are going to have a talk later on about how it is not right to waste food, and about how taking care of yourself is a "must", not an option.

- B-But...?!? -the kid was caught off guard. She soon understood there was no use in trying to escape that one, nevertheless-. Okay... -she said in a resignation tone, lowering her sight to the wooden floor.-

Once that pending topic was mentioned and Danny was well aware of the things she had done right and wrong, Carmilla kissed her daughter's cheek, immediately lightening the atmosphere of their conversation.

- Very well, Countess Chocula... "Vampire Nutrition 101" will come later, what's important now is that we get some food down your tummy –she lightly tickled her daughter-. What do you say, baby bat? Does dinner, hot cocoa and some "The Good Witch Luzura" reading sound good enough for you?

- Yeeeeeees, mamaaaaaaaaaaa!! –the little girl managed to say, laughing and squirming uncontrollably.-

- Let's go then, before I bite either one of you –she jokingly said, stopping her actions so her daughter could get up-, that hot cocoa sounds freakishly tasty.

As Danny stood up to grab the hand her mommy was lending her, Carmilla took advantage of the moment and smacked the teen's bottom, half playfully and half threateningly, making the girl pout and rub her backside with her free hand, trying to calm the sting at least a bit; then, the vampire got up and joined her two loves in heading to the kitchen.

The rest of the evening went on normally...as normally as it could in a "half-monstrous", centuries-old house.

Carm and Laura cooked dinner together, as they often enjoyed doing, with the help of their mini sous-chef. Danny's favorite: Capresse salad, lasagna and tiramisu topped with home-made, natural vanilla ice cream...just a small slice. Last thing her moms wanted was to have an over-caffeinated, half-vampire pre-teenager running around in a house full of old/expensive furniture and art pieces. If they thought "the terrible twos" were difficult while their baby girl was growing up, they had no idea what raising up a supernatural teenager was, but they were veeeeery close to finding out...

After dinner, Laura prepared her acclaimed, super special hot cocoa recipe: 70% Ghirardelli chocolate squares melted in hot milk with a hint of cinnamon, topped with whipped cream, marshmallows and a peppermint candy cane in each extra-large-sized mug.

The three of them sat together in the living room, each holding their respective themed mug. Laura's mug was decorated with Harry Potter characters, Carmilla enjoyed drinking from a skull-shaped mug, and Danny's was decorated with dozens of tiny, colorful bats.

The half-human sat on the couch, between her two moms, happily drinking from her mug while listening to her mama's hypnotizing, soft voice as she read out loud a chapter from the special edition book she had gotten exclusively for their child. Danielle was growing up, and she would surely go through some rough patches in life where she wouldn't even be able to understand what was going on with her body, not to mention her emotions and her mind, but deep inside she would always be their sweet baby girl. A messy, naughty, hyperactive little girl, who loved her moms very, very much, and who was thankful to have a loving, caring family, a home where she belonged, where she was supported and accepted unconditionally.

"In no time, Luzura had conquered her worst fears in order to bravely stand up to whichever challenge awaited her. She wanted to become a witch more than anything else and, for Titan's sake, she would! She held her staff, standing tall and proud, looking at Gizmael the Goblin directly in the eye before saying: "I might be a weirdo. But if there is something I have learned, it is that us weirdos have to stick together. That's what makes us strong. That's what makes us family; we don't "have" to be together, we choose to be together and appreciate each other's uniqueness. We make our flaws become our greatest strengths. Eda and King are my family now...and if you mess with them, you mess with me."

With no time to lose, the young witchling jumped, heroically landing on top of the light glyph she had previously drawn on the sand, triggering an elaborate mechanism especially designed to lure the Goblin into a trap..."

Lulled by her mother's poetic voice and having finished drinking her hot cocoa, Danielle eventually fell asleep, softly leaning on Laura's shoulder. Moved, the human kissed the top of her child's head and smiled at her wife, who carefully closed the book to set it aside and grabbed a blanket to cover up the three of them.

- I love you, Laura... -the dark-eyed whispered.-

- Love you more, Carm...thank you –she enigmatically smiled.-

- What for, my love? –the immortal inquired.-

- For saying "yes" to this beautiful family of ours...and for procreating with me the most magical and adorable child we could ever wish for –she reached for the vampire's hand under the blanket.-

- My absolute pleasure, light of my life –the vampire replied with a broad smile, lovingly clasping her wife's hand in return.-

Carmilla Karnstein and Laura Hollis are mothers to a beautiful girl, a half vampire-half human who drives them insane at times but whom they still madly love, nevertheless.

*SPOILER AND KINKY ALERT: This story will contain spanking as a common form of parental discipline. No blood or things like that, anyway. It might also contain light spoilers from the Carmilla web series and movie. Don't like, don't read. This fanfiction is rated "Mature" because of the spanking scenes it will include, even though they will be purely disciplinary and not erotic.

All of the rights belong to Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu (original author of the Carmilla book) and Kinda TV (Youtube channel, creator of the web series/movie). No copyright infringement intended, the only thing I designed was the cover and the only character that came out my crazy, chaotic imagination is Laura and Carmilla's daughter.

All respectful feedback is welcome and appreciated!

X-plain yourself (X-Men 2 - Spanking fanfiction)

– Artie! Not here… It was about the millionth time Storm, commonly known as Ororo Munroe, had to scold Arthur Maddicks that day. She had sensed something was off since earlier in the morning, while they were all having breakfast and getting ready for their school trip of the week: a visit to the one and only Natural History Museum. Everybody had to go; it was well known among mutants that “no one should be left behind”, except in case of illness, but Artie was bad at faking it and, truth be told, not a single day could possibly be catalogued as “fun” when annoying teenagers were hell-bent on bullying you. As every other school trip day, everybody was expected to be on their best behavior, not only because that was “the polite thing to do”, but because by not doing so, they would be exposing the mutant community to the outside world, risking the lives of every child living within the safe limits of Professor Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. Artie retracted his deep-blue forked ton...
